The DOVO ASTRALE Straight Razor provides an exceptional experience for classic wet shaving. Featuring a full hollow grind, double ribbed tang, and golden decoration, this razor truly transports the user to a galaxy of wet shaving. Plus, the ebony handle includes a nickel silver plate that can be engraved with your personal start date.

The Blade - This straight razor is made of carbon steel with the material number 1.2210, better known as silver steel. In order to achieve a hardness of approximately 61 HRC, the material is heated to over 1000 degrees celsius and then immediately quenched with a special oil. The subsequent tempering at about 200 degrees celsius gives the blade elasticity and toughness. The ornaments are beautifully gold-plated with 24 karat gold.

The Handle - Ebony is one of the most valuable woods on earth. It is extremely hard and heavy. Therefore, it is perfect for the production of a high-quality handle. Its structure allows the wood to retain its shape even in humid environments and prevents swelling of the material. Several grind cycles are necessary to create the silky smooth surface.

    My first Dovo cut throat razor! I used the cut throat club website and it gave a quick ordering process. The delivery came fast too and the razor was packaged nicely. It looks a little plain, but it’s definitely worth the money and it will hopefully last for years!

    Stylish and easy to use

    This Dovo razor is a great combination of style and function. The black handle looks great and I love the various markings on the blade and blade arm. It’s also easy to use and the blade extends easily from the handle. It was shave ready as described too so great job Cut Throat Club.

    Reliable Dovo

    I’ve had a few Dovo cut throat razors before and would always recommend this brand. They just know how to make quality products and this Astrale is no exception. The handle is pretty minimalistic but I really like the detailing on the blade and the smooth opening action. If you want a close shave with a premium piece of kit, definitely give this one a try.
